Each year, adult volunteers are recognized for exemplary service and for going above and beyond to support the Girl Scout Mission. Take a moment to nominate an outstanding individual or group for a national or council award!
National Awards
Appreciation Pin
Recognizes an individual’s exemplary service in support of delivering the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, GSLE, with impact on one regional area of service.
Honor Pin
Recognizes an individual’s exemplary service in support of delivering the GSLE, which has had measurable impact, allowing the council to reach and surpass its mission delivery goals.
Volunteer of Excellence
Recognizes volunteers who have contributed outstanding service while collaborating directly with girls in any pathway to implement the GSLE through the use of the National Program Portfolio or in support of the council’s mission delivery to girls and adult members.
Thanks Badge
Honors an individual whose ongoing commitment, leadership, and service have had an exceptional, measurable impact on meeting the mission delivery goals and priorities of the local council and the entire Girl Scout Movement.
Thanks Badge II
Honors a previous Thanks Badge recipient who has continued to provide exemplary service in a leadership role, resulting in a measurable impact that benefits the entire Girl Scout Movement.
President's Volunteer Service Award currently paused
AmeriCorps has announced that effective immediately, the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) program is on a temporary pause. At this time, we do not have a date for when the program will resume. As soon as operations resume, we will notify you through our various communication channels. Continue logging service hours utilizing the form covering the period January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025. In the event that the program does not resume before April 30, 2026, we will offer a specialized GSSOAZ pin to everyone who submits their hours log by February 1, 2026. This leader shines bright through the programming and leadership of their Girl Scout troop and county.
Make the World a Better Place Award
Recognizes volunteers or community members that are making a profound impact in our community.
New Found Treasure
This nominee must be a new volunteer within the past two years to their Girl Scout role. This nominee embraces the mission with action and deed.
CEO Award
Recognizes a volunteer who has demonstrated incredible leadership and contributed to a positive impact on the Girl Scout Movement, far beyond their immediate sphere.
Trefoil Award
This nominee is between the ages of 18-24 years old and Makes the World a Better Place.
