Financial Aid

Girl Scouts is open to all girls and adults, regardless of their income. As part of our dedication to investing in girls' leadership, our council makes funds available to support girls and adults who need financial assistance.


Membership Fees

Whether you're new to Girl Scouts or are renewing your membership for the upcoming year, you can request financial assistance for the $25 membership fee within the online registration portal.

Requests must come from the family or caregiver, not the troop leader, unless the caregiver is the troop leader. If you have any questions, please contact our Customer Care desk at 520-327-2288.

Council Programming, Uniforms, and Camp

Financial aid is based on need and is awarded to individual girls, not to troops. It may be used toward the cost of uniforms, supplies, and program and event fees, including up to half of the cost of one summer camp session per girl, per year. It may not be used toward troop dues.

How do I apply for financial aid?

Applying for financial aid is a confidential, needs-based process available to all members of Girl Scouts of Southern Arizona. Financial aid cannot be applied toward troop dues.

To apply for financial aid toward membership fees for a girl or adult, please use the online registration portal and check the box to request financial aid when you reach the "Registration Summary" page.

Who qualifies?

Applicants must be registered (or registering) members of Girl Scouts of Southern Arizona. The amount of aid granted will vary based upon need and available funds.

Financial aid supplements existing troop resources, and should not be used in place of solid troop budgeting and fundraisers such as the Cookie Program. Families should have exhausted existing resources, such as Cookie Credit, Cookie Dough, and funds generated from additional troop money-earning activities. 

What happens after the request is approved?

Families will be notified by email or phone of request status. Membership and registration fees will be directly applied to the member’s account. For uniform requests, we may ask you to pick up the requested pieces in the retail shop nearest you.
