Online Support for Volunteers

The Volunteer Toolkit is a digital resource that supports troop leaders and co-leaders, making the process of running a troop easier and more efficient.

Take a look at the VTK User Manual!
Through the Volunteer Toolkit, troop leaders can:
  • Plan the troop’s calendar year.
  • Email parents and caregivers with one click.
  • View the troop roster, renew girls’ membership, and update girls' contact information.
  • View Daisy through Ambassador Journeys and badges (to plan for troop meetings), including prepopulated tracks for younger and older Multi-Level troop groups (K–5 and 6–12).
  • Customize meetings by troop year with other badge and Journey options.
  • Explore individual meeting plans that show a breakdown of every meeting, including a list of materials needed and editable time allotments for each activity within a meeting.
  • Record girls’ attendance at meetings and their badge and Journey achievements.
  • Add council or custom troop events to the troop’s calendar.
  • Track the troop’s finances.
  • Easily locate resources both national and local council resources, such as Safety Activity Checkpoints

  • A great tutorial resource from our Girl Scout sisters at Western Ohio!

Having Trouble With VTK?

Having trouble logging in or accessing the VTK? Try these four steps to troubleshoot:

  1. Check your web browser! Google Chrome is the recommended browser for the Volunteer Toolkit.
  2. Clear your cache. If you've logged into the VTK before and are trying to access updates, you may need to do some spring cleaning on your web browser to get everything up-to-date.
  3. Renew your membership. Leaders and co-leaders who have not yet renewed for the next Girl Scout year won't be able to access the VTK.
  4. Renew your background check. Leaders and co-leaders with an expired background check are considered "inactive" by our computer system, and won't be able to access the VTK until they complete a new background check.

More questions? Still not working? Need some one-on-one support to use the VTK to its fullest? Contact our Troop Support team at for help.
