Over the Edge
A total of 76 "Edgers" raised at least $1,000 each for the Girl Scouts of Southern AZ by making a 190-foot descent from the roof of 5151 E. Broadway in Tucson on Saturday, March 28th, 2015.
To be an “Edger,” a rappeller can raise $1,000 through their own donation and pledges from family, friends and co-workers. All contributions are 100 percent tax deductible. Funds raised will go to support the Girl Scouts’ programming for more than 14,000 girls across Pima, Cochise, Santa Cruz, Greenlee, Graham and Yuma counties including field trips, sports, skill-building clinics, community service projects, social justice programs, cultural exchanges and environmental stewardships.
The event is facilitated by national Over the Edge organization that has facilitated more than 500 events around the world. The event is staffed with highly trained industrial ropes specialists to help rappellers safely enjoy their experience. Find out more about the organization here.
