JANUARY
Traditions in Girl Scouting
Sharing traditions with millions of Girl Scouts helps remind girls they belong to a large and powerful sisterhood. This workshop is for any volunteer who wants to learn about kaper charts and other group management techniques, SWAPS, Juliette Low’s story, songs and games.

Lead the Way Mini conference
This 3 Hour mini conference offers multiple workshops and round table discussion for volunteers of all pathways. Participants choose what they want to learn, explore resources, and network with other volunteers in the community.

What + How: How Girls Have Fun in Girl Scouting
It’s not just what girls do, but how you engage them that create a quality experience. This workshop will help you identify, understand, and utilize the 3 Processes that are the foundation for the GSLE and guide you through the two emerging age-appropriate program resources – the Journeys and the Girl’s Guide to Girl Scouting, which are complemented by fun, dynamic, and meaningful programming for girls and the adults who guide them through the various stages of their personal growth and development.

Girls and Women of Distinction
Each Spring, Girl Scouts of Southern Arizona takes time to honor and recognize exemplary girls and women in specific arenas of Girl Scouting such as honor graduating seniors, girls earning their Gold and Silver Awards, girls earning their 10 year pins, girls earning religious awards through our partnership with Pray, our top cookie sellers and troop, and troops being awarded the Super Troop Award, Volunteer of Excellence Awards, CEO Outstanding Volunteer Awards, Treasured Gem Awards, and New Found Gem Awards.

MAY
Progression in Girl Scouts
Join us for the basics of troop leadership for Daisies, Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes, and Multi-levels. Volunteers will learn about progression through the levels in Girl Scouts in addition to specifics about levels. We’ll cover getting organized, troop government, engaging parents, communication and problem solving as well as a treasure trove of resources!

*Please note courses with less than the minimum number of participants will be cancelled. Only those who pre-registered will be notified of the cancellation.
Refunds: In the event of a cancelled course, registrants will receive a full refund for fees paid. If participant can no longer attend, fees will be refunded (excluding nonrefundable deposits) only if notice of cancellation is received in writing to the Council seven business days prior to the class.
