Training and Support

Girl Scouts of Southern Arizona provides training to adult members as part of its commitment to girls. Volunteers have the opportunity to develop their skills, increase their knowledge of Girl Scouting and help girls Discover, Connect, and Take Action in their communities and in their world. GSSoAz believes that prepared adults are key to the Girl Scout movement.

Troop Leaders and Co-Leaders are also required to attend a Troop Leader Orientation.

  • 1st Tuesday of the month from Noon-2pm
  • 3rd Wed of the month from 5pm-7pm
  • Last Thursday of the month from 6pm-8pm
  • Traveling Troop Leader Orientation 

*Troop Leader Orientations are also available in Casa Grande, Yuma, Sierra Vista, and Nogales.

GSSoAz also offers workshops and conferences year round to enhance one’s Girl Scouting journey, connect volunteers, and explore the issues that are most pressing to girls today. To view dates for upcoming workshops, browse the event calendar.

NEW Outdoor Videos
Funded by a grant from the Elliott Wildlife Values Project, six outdoor-skill-building videos are now available created especially for volunteers newer to Girl Scouts and older girl members taking younger girls outside.
