Leadership is stepping forward when you see something that needs to be done. It means recognizing that you have the power to act, to guide, and to influence those around you. It does not mean always being the person out front but it does mean working with other leaders toward a common good.
Advice for girls
I would encourage all young people to find something they care about and then find ways to create positive change. It is easy to sit back and let someone else do it but I challenge you to step forward, even if it is scary, and believe in the power you have to make a difference.
