Tucson Meet Yourself
Mia Hansen has lived in Tucson since 1985. She is a choreographer, producer, project manager, and community leader. She has choreographed for local companies including Ballet Tucson, the University of Arizona, Up with People, Tucson Regional Ballet, VivaArizona, and Kalinka Russian Dances. A native of Oregon, Mia Hansen graduated with honors from the University of Oregon with a double degree in Dance and Recreation and Park Management. The daughter of Danish immigrants, Mia was first introduced to dance through folk dancing. She continues to expand her knowledge in this area by attending workshop and master classes with folk and ethnic dance experts. In recent years, Mia has dedicated many volunteer hours and professional expertise to various arts and cultural organizations.
On Leadership
Leadership means inspiring others by example. Leadership mans building bridges of communication between people of all beliefs, backgrounds and cultures. Leadership is the ability to deliver excellence.
