On Leadership

Leadership is the willingness to take on tasks and follow-through; An ability to motivate others to get excited and do the same; and the strength to make tough decisions when necessary.

Advice for girls

Play team sports!!! Being part of a competitive team builds confidence and physical strength. It teaches you to get along with MANY different kinds of people and work together toward a common goal. It also helps you find your voice in a ‘safe’ environment and you form relationships that will last a lifetime. Team sports taught me to truly value, trust, respect, love, lead and rely on other women.

Inspiration

“The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers.” -Attributed to SOCRATES by Plato
