Or gather materials needed for a Girl Scout project. This open source format helps people connect with others throughout the state. We want to thank the Girl Scouts of the Nation’s Capital for this brilliant idea!
Why the word “pixie”?
The word “pixie,” can be used to describe a mythical fairy – completing nameless tasks that make the world a brighter place. In Girl Scouts – the term “pixie” has been used in many contexts: to describe younger children or “Tagalongs” at camp or, in the early 80’s the word “pixie” was used as the prototype for what is now the Girl Scout Daisy program in the United States. We are using it here to describe the unknown people whose acts of kindness are helping build girls of courage, confidence and character.
