This site is a great way for volunteers and community members to support Girl Scouting. Use the information below when using this site:
- Create your ad with positive, compelling words and phrases to explain your opportunity or need
- Be sure to include your location, time constraints, appropriate age levels and any associated costs
- Refrain from Girl Scout specific jargon or abbreviations (Journeys, try-its, GSLE)
- Be specific; refrain from only asking for general job titles like “Troop Leader.”
- Be detailed about duties and logistics
- Notify pixielistwatchdog@sahuarogsc.org when your ad should be removed
Safety Tips
- Troop Leaders and Advisors are responsible for reviewing safety guidelines in Volunteer Essentials, before they leave their meeting site. Even then, they continue to be the “adult in charge”
- Knowledge of Girl Scout policies is not required to post or reply to offerings on the Pixie List
- Refrain from posting detailed personal information such as home addresses and phone numbers
- When meeting with new volunteers or exchanging materials, meet during the day in a public place
- Report any concerns or violations to pixielistwatchdog@sahuarogsc.org
