Join the ranks of Tucson’s elite women fire firefighters from Northwest Fire District and Tucson Fire Department for an exclusive 4-day, 3-night training experience. Learn the importance of teamwork through hands-on essential firefighter techniques, search and rescue skills, and water rescue on site at the Public Safety Training Facility. You’ll be outfitted in full firefighting gear for the duration of camp. In the evening, relax at the Hacienda as we enjoy yoga, pool-time, stargazing and s’mores over and open campfire. End the week at a recognition ceremony acknowledging your achievements!

Everything around you can be used as inspiration for art creations, especially when you’re spending a week in the midst of the beautiful scenery of Whispering Pines! Learn to create magnificent acrylic and watercolor paintings of flowers, mountains and even your friends. Plus explore art forms from cultures around the world as well as historical civilizations in our own backyard. Participate in clay sculpture building and then at the end of the week display all of your creations at first ever World of Art Show! You will also get to participate in traditional camp activities; singing, games, cookouts and much more!

Experience the true outdoors in this 10 day adventure! You’ll try all sorts of activities such as mountain biking, trail running, archery, geocaching, teambuilding and rock climbing. In addition to traditional camp activities, you will participate in a multi-night backpacking experience. Beforehand, you will learn how to dress, pack and be prepared for your overnight in the Catalina Mountains. While backpacking, you will gain skills in wilderness ethics, survival and trail etiquette.
Note: All Adventure Quest participants must be physically able to carry 35lb packs in rugged mountain terrain for extended periods of time.

This intensive two week program trains you in the teamwork and leadership skills necessary for working with youth in a residential camp setting .You will have the opportunity to gain expertise in a specialty area, such as outdoor skills, arts and crafts, and performing arts while learning how to teach younger girls in your specialty area. Additionally, you will get a behind-the-scenes perspective of all of the organizing and management that goes into making camp happen each year! If you are an experienced Program Aide and ready for a bigger challenge, this program is for you! Supplement what you learned as a Program Aide with a more challenging training experience. You will assist your counselor with planning activities, facilitation of youth activities, and with, planning a cookout and theme night. You will learn how to work in girl/adult partnerships, and act as a role model for younger girls. This training will be focused on outdoor leadership training in a residential camp setting but you’ll also be able to enjoy all the traditional camp activities such as drama, hiking and archery!
