Let’s spend our week at camp inventing the next CEV (that’s NASA talk for Crew Exploration Vehicle, a kind of spacecraft); exploring how to mine the moon for oxygen; designing a way to turn used water into clean water; and figuring out how to carry food into space. By the end of camp, everyone will be experts on all things needed to Invade Space!

What does it take to make the magic of a play happen?? This is your chance to come find out! You’ll get to learn everything that it takes to bring a play to life, from the first sentence of the script put down on paper to the final moment when the director shouts “action!” This week will be chockfull of drama activities—from improv to costume design to storyboarding to behind-the-scenes lights and makeup to a final performance that all parents are invited to!

We all know the Earth needs our help keeping it clean and beautiful. At this camp, we will explore alternative energy – solar, wind and water – that can get the job done. Girls will team up with UA engineering and science students to design a solution, build a prototype, and practice marketing their invention. And, of course, we can’t explore power without power tools so come ready to learn how to use a power saw or drill!

Looking for a new way to challenge yourself and grow this summer? Come be a Program Aide at Day Camp! Program Aide (PA) positions are open to Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors. PAs receive training in basic leadership, communication, and teambuilding skills, and then apply these skills to assist counselors in leading running camp programs for the younger campers. As a PA, you should expect to participate in all things camp, whether leading songs and games or modeling strong Girl Scout behavior for our younger campers. Come knowing you will work hard and learn lots, plus have a whole lot of fun! PAs are needed for every camp and their time will be participating primarily in programs related to each week’s theme, with some dedicated PA-only training, service work, events and/or outings every week.
