Troop 1084 is at it again – learning about their community and giving back with cookie money!!

Today we visited Catalina Community Services and learned all about their Food Bank and Clothing Bank and how they service our immediate community (zip codes 85755, 85737, 85739). The girls proudly donated $100 worth of groceries to the food bank using their cookie profits – we bought 20 boxes of spaghetti, 10 jars of peanut butter, 24 boxes of Rice A Roni and 18 boxes of cereal – woohoo!!!

And we also brought with us at least 25 bags of clothing for their clothing bank, some of it was donated by Brownie families, and the rest by other Painted Sky families that we happily delivered.

This is truly an amazing organization doing so much good for our community – absolutely NOTHING there goes to waste! Please think of them when you are donating clothing, or household items – they will happily accept anything! And don’t forget to donate to their food bank too when you can!
