The spirit of giving is helping to keep a little girl’s legacy alive. Christina-Taylor Green, the youngest victim of the Jan. 8 mass shootings continues to inspire young girls in our community to give back.

Sunday afternoon, Girl Scout Troop No. 432 from Harelson Elementary donated toys in honor of Green.

They tell KOLD News 13 it was important for them to honor the victims from Jan. 8.

The toy drive was put on by Stuff the Hummers, a non-profit that teaches children the power of giving. This year, they wanted to do something different by working with the Christina-Taylor Green Foundation.

“These are the things that we want to do through our daughter’s eyes that she would be proud of,” Christina-Taylor’s father, John Green said. “I’d just like to tell those young girls that I’m proud of them and we thank them for donating all those toys.”
