On October 29, 2011, 96 Girl Scouts from Yuma celebrated the beloved classic The Wizard of Oz by hosting Follow the Yellow Brick Road. Down the Yellow Brick Road girls made Dorothy’s Ruby Red Slippers, Rainbow character bracelets, Wicked Witch shoes, Glenda the Good Witch wands and crowns, marshmallow rainbow art, decorated rainbow cookies, and made a red ribbon craft and took the Red Ribbon Drug Free Pledge. Girls dressed like their favorite Wizard of Oz character and there was also a costume contest. Everyone had a great time!
