Wednesday September 28th was the Girl Scout’s project for the United Way Days of Caring at Whispering Pines. The Girl Scout’s project took place at Camp Whispering Pines on Mt. Lemmon. There were 30 volunteers from IBM and 2 volunteers from TEP at the camp from 8am to 6pm. They covered all 3 cabins with sealer, they built a new stair way for the bathrooms, they fixed all of the doors for all 12 Bungalows, they cleared all of the trails around the camp and re-lined them with rocks, they cleaned up the firewood pile and cut more logs for firewood, they cleared the campfire circles and added more firewood and one volunteer replaced the sink in the site host cabin. They did an amazing job and they worked so hard! The camp looks great!
