The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) is proud to present the 5th Annual Young Women’s Empowerment Academy to be held Saturday, April 23, 2011 at the University of Arizona Student Union. This event is free and open to all young people ages 13-17 and offers workshops and activities that will inspire and empower them to become successful. This year’s theme is “Yes, U Can!” and is focused on providing young people, with an emphasis on young women, with tools and information they will need to set goals, make informed decisions, and ultimately create their own successful future.
Attendance will be capped at 100 participants, so sign up soon! Lunch will be provided for participants.
Parents and caregivers are also invited to join us for a series of morning workshops specifically designed for Parents and Caregivers. All are welcome. For more information and to sign up for the academy, visit their website.
