Contest for Girl Leadership Training in D.C.

Do you know an inspiring young woman that you can easily see in the Oval Office one day? Know a girl who’s interested in running for public office?  If so, here’s a chance for her to receive leadership training in Washington, DC!

Race to the Capitol is holding a contest for high school girls ages 13-18 who are interested in politics and want to learn more about the opportunities of the political process.


Girls submit a 30-second video that describes why we should vote for them if they were to run for President of the United States.

Top Prizes Include:

·   1 admission to Running Start’s Young Women’s Political Leadership conference (up to $150 travel reimbursement, $350 to help Running Start defray program costs, prize valued at $500)

·   2 prizes to attend the 5th Annual Women to Watch awards on May 11, 2011 to Washington, D.C. (up to $300 travel reimbursement each, $200 allotted spending money, each prize valued at $500)
