Richelle Harris, a Girl Scout Leader in the Dream Seekers Service Unit, was crowned Miss Maricopa County 2010 on April 16, 2010 and will advance to Miss Arizona, a state competition for the Miss America Organization, in June. Richelle has been a Girl Scout member for over ten years, facilitated two encampments, and has served as a National Delegate. From her Girl Scout experience, Richelle created her personal platform, C.E.O.: Community Enrichment Opportunities, which stresses the importance of volunteerism and encourages youth to experience the power of dedicating one hour a week to a community project. Girl Scouts are all about discovering community enrichment opportunities, connecting with the community, and taking action to promote change. Therefore, Girl Scouts are already C.E.Os, Community Enrichment Opportunity Supporters.
If you would like Richelle to make a troop presentation on volunteerism, please contact her atRichelleLHarris@gmail.com .
