Learn to Dive and Have a Blast!

The Catalina Council Boy Scouts have invited us to participate in some super cool diving programs!

We are taking registrations and deposits for Outdoor The Scuba Diving Merit Badge and Venturing Elective. Catalina Council has teamed up with THE DIVE SHOP to offer this one week program that will be in June and July, this is a full Open Water Certification from PADI. It is a lifetime certification as a recreational diver. The fee covers all course material, 16 hours of instruction, dive equipment rental (wet suit, BCD, weights, weight belt, regulator and gages), camping fees, food and open water certification dives with PADI Certified Instructors, plus first aid instruction will be added to cover diving aid and other information to complete all the requirements for the NEW SCUBA DIVING MERIT BADGE. The class room and pool work will be at Double V and certification dives will be at Lake Pleasant outside of Phoenix. This makes it much easier and much less expensive to get certified than traveling to the ocean for these dives. Check out the flyer for more information about this great deal and you will see that the cost is much less for your scouts to take advantage of Scuba Diving.

THE DIVE SHOP will have staff to assist everyone and will provide HOT DOGS, CHIPS and SODAS to all who attend. A small donation is asked to help the new Catalina Council Venturing Officers Association, our new youth committee that oversees programs for Venturing, creating a Campership Fund to assist our youth.
To assist us in having an idea of the number of people attending we would like you to fill out a flyer or contact the people on the flyer, if your unit would like to set up a display please contact Mike George.
