The NCY, a 40-year-old affinity group, is an initiative of the National Human Services Assembly member organization that have a significant interest in youth development. Its mission is to be an advocate for youth in an effort to improve the conditions of young people in America, and to help young people reach their full potential. The NCY has a physical presence in virtually every community in the nation. Collectively, the member organizations of NCY serve more than 40 million young people, employ more than 100,000 staff members, and engage more than six million volunteers.
Kathy also serves on the national board of the National Human Services Assembly, and is in position to elevate the work of NCY to the board. Girl Scouts has been a member of NCY since its inception, and Girl Scout program and research staff provide leadership in shaping the important youth development of NCY.
